Get Low (Aaron Schneider, 2009) spacer Get Low (Aaron Schneider, 2009)
BY: R. Greg Grooms
Get Low admirably scratches the itch without satisfying it. It stirs up the dust just enough to make us curious. Itís a tale that needs to be told. Would that more filmmakers, especially those who are believers, learn to tell it as well.

Inception (Christopher Nolan, 2010) spacer Inception (Christopher Nolan, 2010)
BY: R. Greg Grooms
Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is an Extractor, a thief who makes his living by entering the dreams of others and stealing their ideas. It is quite a lucrative business, but for him it has several downsides: itís dangerous and, thus, exciting (for us if not for him); it cuts him off from his family for reasons you should learn only by watching the movie; it is confusing. The last in Nolanís opinion may be the worst.

Avatar: A Review (James Cameron, 2009) spacer Avatar: A Review (James Cameron, 2009)
BY: R. Greg Grooms
Avatarís unabashed nature-worship has already been round the block a few times in Hollywood in films from Star Wars to The Lion King. While pantheismís box-office appeal has been proven, philosophically itís still lite beer.

Avatar: A Reflection (James Cameron, 2009) spacer Avatar: A Reflection (James Cameron, 2009)
BY: Steven Garber
Why has evangelical theology allowed itself to be identified with a political vision that is so horribly ďun-green,Ē so unresponsive and irresponsible about our place in the world?

Ransom Fellowship
spacer This web site is old and creaky. The email function functions poorly when it functions at all. Worse, it all looks old. So we are starting work on building a new site, and hope to have it functioning by fall.

Our vision will not change, nor will our attempt in this little spot of the Internet to invite you to join us in thinking about the things that matter most. Thanks for visiting.
